Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. There is very minor evidence of wear and handling along the edges which are taped. The right edge of the sheet is deckled. In the upper left edge, there is an unobtrusive and minor outward protrusion that is only visible under extreme raking light. The colors are bright, fresh and clean. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there is no evidence of restoration. Unframed.

Catalogue Note

“One must not confuse what the eyes apprehend with what happens when the mind takes it in. In any single instant the eyes see only a side facing them, they converge on a small field. The mind totalizes; it recapitulates all the fields; it makes them dance together...Perhaps we live in a world invented by ourselves."
