Condition

This work is in very good condition overall. There is evidence of light handling and wear to the edges, most noticeable in the upper left corner. In the inner edges where the multiple canvases are embedded or joined, there are some areas of slightly uneven joints, inherent to the artist's working method and process of assemblage. The various scattered drips and stains are also inherent to the artist's working method. Under Ultraviolet light inspection, there is no evidence of restoration. Unframed.
In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report. “A painting is like bricks and mortar. You don’t speak of the individual bricks in a cement wall. But the juxtaposition of the second image gives us the ability to remove the mortar and speak of the bricks." David Salle
