Condition

This work is in good condition overall. The top and bottom edges have been irregularly cut by the artist and are obscured by the top mat. There is an undulation to the sheet and very slight rippling in the lower portion of the sheet, inherent to the artist's working method and intent. There are two artist's pinholes in the upper right corner. The sheet has yellowed slightly with age, especially among the edges. There are several scattered minor tears along the edges and a 1½-in. repaired tear along the right edge. All surface inconsistencies, scattered media accretions, abrasions and diagonal creases in the upper portion of the sheet appear inherent and intended by the artist. The oil staining is to be expected with the medium and age. The sheet is hinged verso to the matte intermittently along the left, top and upper right edges. Framed under Plexiglas.
