Condition
Colour: The colour in the catalogue illustration is fairly accurate. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Very close inspection reveals some light canvas draw to all four edges. Further very close inspection reveals some tiny specks of wear and rubmarks, some of which have tiny associated losses in intermittent places to all four extreme edges. Extremely close inspection reveals a few tiny media accretions and short and fine cracks in isolated places and two tiny losses; one towards the upper centre of the left hand edge and one towards the upper right hand corner. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.

Catalogue Note
“Its about dismantling one reality and constructing another from the same parts, and that various concrete objects are not attached to their parts alone” (George Condo in conversation with Ralph Rugoff, in: George Condo: Existential Portraits, New York 2006, p.8).
