Description

  • 14.8 and 18.5 cm, 5 7/8  and 7 1/4  in.
the censer of bombé form, flanked by lion mask handles, one side inscribed with a poem; the washer of double lozenge section, covered overall in a soft grey glaze suffused with crackles

Tai Sing Fine Antiques Ltd, Hong Kong, 20th June 2003 (censer) and 5th June 2004 (washer).

Condition

censer: There is an approx. 1.2 cm mouth chip, as well as some other minute nicks to the rim and minor firing imperfections. washer: There are stabilised losses to the crackled glaze, particularly to the rightmost corner of the mouth with a refilled flake of approx. 1.2 by 0.4 cm.
