Description

  • 51.7 cm, 20 3/8  in.
with a bulbous body supported on a flared foot and sweeping up to a long tubular neck, moulded with a central band of archaistic motifs against a ribbed ground of bamboo branches and further layers of overlapping bamboo encircling the neck and foot, applied overall with a translucent celadon glaze save for the base

Condition

There is a chip to the interior rim (approx. 2.2 cm) and another 0.8 cm flake to the exterior rim, visible on the catalogue photo. Otherwise the vase is in overall good condition with a few minor firing imperfections including a few pale iron spots.
