Description

  • 39.7 cm, 15 5/8  in.
the interior painted with a dynamic scene of figures engaged in different activities, all below a frieze enclosing lotus blooms and scrolling foliage encircling the rim

Condition

There is fritting and burst bubbles to the rim. A few areas of the rim with condition issues including an approx. 4 cm polished area at the 8 o'clock position and an associated firing crack. A section from the 1 to 4 o'clock position is polished, most significant around 2 o'clock. The interior with spotted wear to the glaze, which gets greyish over time.
