- 11.8cm; 7.8cm.
both composed of a hammered gold sheet cut in lobed medallion form with two birds between a lotus bud at the top, set in the centre with a flowerhead containing colourful stones, polychrome enamelled motifs, seed-pearl fringes, both enamelled to reverse, one with a portrait of a lady and link chain for hanging, the other with floral details and birds
Condition
The example with part of hanging chain remaining with more missing enamel to front and reverse, part of seed-pearl fringe to hanging section missing and probably re-fastened at later period, the other with restoration to enamel including some re-painting, minor dents to extremities as consistent with nature of material and use, both with some wear to colourful foil-backed paste stones, as viewed.
