Condition
The canvas is lined. There is a thick varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating, however examination under UV light appears to reveal a dot of retouching to the extreme lower left corner. There are areas of stable paint shrinkage in places, most predominately in the black pigment. There are a few dots of paint losses in places. There is a diagonal line running across the lower right quadrant, with associated paint losses, possibly original. There is a stretcher bar mark running horizontally across the centre of the composition. There is some frame rubbing along the extreme edges. This work is in overall good condition.
