Condition
The canvas is not lined except for thin bands of strip lining around the stretcher edges to reinforce the canvas mounting. Recto : Examination under UV light reveals a horizontal area of retouching along the upper edge and some dots of retouching to the upper right and left corners with an additional spot of retouching in the sky (approx. 7 cm from the upper edge and 39 cm from the right edge). There are a few hairline lines of craquelure in places, predominately to the lower right quadrant. The impasto is nice and well preserved and colours are fresh and vivid. Verso: There is no evidence of retouching under UV light. This work is in overall good condition.
