Condition
It has not been possible to see the work out of its frame. The canvas is not lined. Examination under UV light reveals a line of retouching (approx. 8 cm long) to the upper part of the composition (approx. 23 cm from the left edge and 17 cm from the upper edge) and a few further dots of retouching along the extreme left and right edges. There are some horizontal hairline lines of craquelure in places, most predominately in the cream pigment. There is some frame abrasion along the extreme edges with associated dots of paint losses. There are some glue remnants to the reverse of the canvas. This work is in overall good condition.
