Condition

It has not been possible to see the work entirely unframed. The canvas is laid down on panel. The panel is sound. There is an uneven varnish preventing UV light from fully penetrating, however examination under UV light appears to reveal lines and spots of retouching throughout the composition, notably related to stabilized craquelure. There are lines of craquelure throughout the composition with associated small dots of paint losses, notably to the lower right quadrant and along the upper edge. This work is in overall fairly good condition.
