The work is in very good condition. The canvas is not lined. The surface is richly textured and the impasto is well-preserved. Under UV inspection, there are a few very minor strokes of inpainting in the background toward the center right edge and one very small stroke of inpainting on the woman's chin. A few other areas of original pigment also fluoresce.
