Condition

Overall in very good condition. The epoxy stone has been professionally cleaned and presents with a few occasional irregularities in the stone and faint color variations inherent in the material. The upper neck, tail area and proper left back foot with some light surface soiling to the epoxy surface, consistent with age and not visually distracting. The underside of the tail area with very minor surface irregularity to the epoxy surface measuring approximately ½ inch. The bronze elements have been professionally waxed to bring out the rich saturation of the patina. When compared against the catalogue illustration, the bronze is a warmer hue with occasional inflections of blue which adds a nice level of complexity and dimension to the metal. The bronze is in very good condition with scattered surface scratches and abrasions, concentrated primarily to the feet and typical with age. This lovey Brebis is presented alongside other strong and complementary examples from the "Nouveau Moutons" family (lots 7 and 9) and is suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
