Condition
Overall in very good condition. The epoxy stone presents with a warm beige hue that is more rich when viewed in person compared to the catalogue illustration. The epoxy stone has been professionally cleaned and presents with occasional scattered irregularities and subtle color variations inherent in the material, visible on the illustration. The epoxy above the front feet with some more concentrated instances of surface irregularities; one irregularity above the proper right front leg has been sensitively filled in and blended by a professional conservator and is only visible upon close inspection. The neck and back with a thin seam running along the neck and spine, inherent in the production, which presents very slightly darker and with a slightly different texture than the epoxy overall but is not visually distracting. The bronze elements have been professionally waxed to bring out the richness of the patina. When seen in person, the bronze presents with warmer hues compared to the catalogue illustration and subtly textured surface. The bronze is overall in very good condition with scattered surface scratches and abrasions, concentrated primarily to the feet and consistent with age and use. This "Mouton de Pierre" is complementary with other works from the series offered in this sale (lots 5 and 6) and is suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
