Condition
The sheet is flat in the frame, irregularly-shaped at the extremities. There are artist's pinholes in the corners. The picture is ready to be hung. FRAME The drawing is contained in a modern black wooden frame with a clean mount and under glass.

Another, less finished version of this drawing is known (Sotheby's, Olympia, 15 September 2004, lot 4) and both are probably replicas of an oil painting dated 1934 (Christie's, London, 19 June 1997, lot 20).
