Condition
The canvas is lined which is providing a stable structural support. There is a craquelure pattern across the surface of the picture - visible upon close inspection. The paint surface appears clean. UNDER ULTRAVIOLET LIGHT There are very minor retouchings to the girl's hair and to a very small area of her cheek. There are other small, flecked retouchings to the background and to her dress. All the retouchings are minor and have been well-executed. FRAME The picture is contained in an ornate moulded plaster frame - probably the original.
