Catalogue Note
Victor Pont (1846-1931) was a district engineer for the East Indian Railway, and his brother Ernest (1850-1922) worked as an inspector for the same Railway. The Victor Pont photographs are numbered as follows: 30, 50, 54-57, 59, 60, 62-64, 67-70, 83. The E. Pont photographs are numbered: 51, 116, 117, 126 and the V. & E. Pont has the number 83. The collection also includes 3 unidentified albumen prints.
