Catalogue Note
Rare arithmetic of Johann Hemeling, Schreib- und Rechenmeister at Hannover, conferred the title of Imperial Poet Laureate in 1656. An edition cited by Murhard dated 1655 is otherwise unknown; this undated edition printed at Hannover by Joachim Rosenhagen c. 1656 has almost disappeared: no copy is yet recorded by the German national bibliography (VD17), and only a copy in the Bibliothèque Nationale de France has been located elsewhere.
