Condition
The board is slightly bowed in the centre. There are some areas of faint craqueleur to the thicker areas of paint. There are some specks of surface dirt scattered throughout and some rubbing and abrasion to the framing edges. The work retains strong passages of impasto in the sea and is in overall good original condition. UV light inspection reveals no evidence of retouching or restoration. Held in the original gilt frame.
