each panel carved in high relief, one panel depicting scholars conversing in a bamboo grove, the other with two scholars and child attendants beside bamboo in a mountainous river landscape with retreats, above shaped panels of a censer amongst flowers

Condition

There's some shrinkage to both panels with associated gap to its frame, some small areas of losses to extremities including several breakage of the bamboo and tip of the deer's antlers. There's a dent to the left panel's top edge with associated losses.
