the deep flaring sides rising from a flat base set with three short cabriole legs, moulded and carved in relief around the exterior with the Eight Trigrams, between raised foliate bands, covered overall in a bluish-green glaze

Purchased from Dumousset, Hotel des Ventes Drouot, Paris, 5th May 1992.

Condition

There is restoration to all three feet of the censer (an area of approx. 6x7 cm each). There is a circular hole to the base (diameter approx. 3.5 cm). There are some iron spots and burst bubbles in various areas.
