one side carved with a scholar seated in a log raft on the banks of a river beneath branches of pine, inscribed Zhangzi chengcha (Zhangzi riding a raft) set within a scrolled cartouche, the reverse with a scholar standing in a fenced garden beside rockwork and beneath branches of pine, inscribed Nanguan baishi (Nanguan bows to rocks), the polished stone of an even white tone
