the rectangular body with rounded corners supported on three short cabriole legs issuing from lion masks, the exterior carved with taotie below a key fret-border at the rim, flanked by two mythical-beast handles suspending a loose ring, the fitted cover with a clambering chilong, the smoothly polished stone of a variegated green tone, pierced gilt-metal cover, wood stand, Japanese wood box
Condition
There are three chips and some minor nicks to the rim (6mm by 4mm, 3mm by 1mm and 3mm by 2mm). There are two polished chips to the rim of the cover (1.5cm by 4mm and 2cm by 4mm). There is also a flaw in the stone running from the sides through the base.
