Condition
Original canvas on original stretcher. There is a layer of light surface dirt. The canvas is buckling slightly in all four corners. Examination under UV light reveals an area of restoration to the sitter's right shoulder and an uneven varnish layer throughout. Held in a carved wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
