Condition
The canvas has been lined. There are abrasions and surface scratches to the edges. There are fine lines of craquelure in places. There is a layer of surface dirt and the areas of bare canvas surrounding the composition are dirty. Inspection under UV light reveals a vertical line of retouching and another small area of retouching in the centre of the composition below the dome. Held in a carved wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
