Description

  • 11.5cm., 4 1/2 in. high
oval, with applied gadroon and anthemion borders, the otherwise plain body engraved on one side with the cypher C in monogram below a coronet, ivory finial to the flat hinged lid and handle, the underside numbered 17 and engraved XX

Condition

Good clear marks to underside. Also clearly marked to cover. The base also include stamped 19. The base numbered '17' and 'XX'. Very good heavy gauge. Original ivory handle. The body a little worn with fine scratches but generally very good.
