Engraving, 1513, a very good impression of New Hollstein's first state (of three), printing with clarity, on paper with a Small Gothic P watermark (Kok's 1a)

Condition

Trimmed on the borderline at the top and left, just within the subject at bottom and right, the entire sheet backed with thin fibrous wove paper to support intermittent tears throughout (the longest approximately 10cm), the edges and corners of the subject skilfully made up and touched in with pen and ink and graphite, the upper right corner measuring 5 by 5cm, further touched in areas associated with repaired tears, faded oxidised oil stains over several figures, unframed. (Our specialists recommend viewing this lot in advance).
