Engraving, 1637, a good but later impression of New Hollstein's second state (of three); with Jan Asselijn, Painter ('Krabbetje') (New Holl. 236), etching with engraving and drypoint, circa 1647, a fairly good impression of New Hollstein's fifth state (of six); with The Artist's Mother Seated in an Oriental Headdress: Half Length (New Holl. 86), etching, 1631, a fairly good impression of New Hollstein's sixth (final) state; and The Artist's Mother with her hand on her chest (New Holl. 87), etching, 1631, a fairly good impression of New Hollstein's fourth state (of six)
Condition
Three Heads of a Woman: With wide margins, in good condition. Jan Asselijn, Painter ('Krabbetje): With wide margins, in good condition, pale glue-staining in the left margin, a nick at the left sheet edge, diagonal creasing at the lower right corner, the verso with previous hinges at right corners. The Artist's Mother Seated: Trimmed on the plate mark, in good condition, a small horizontal skilfully repaired tear on the subject's arm (measuring approx 14mm), two pale water stains in the unprinted area to the right of the figure. The Artist's Mother with her Hand on her Chest: With thread margins, white residue in the upper left area with some associated touching in with graphite, the sheet adhered to a support at corners verso, with associated creasing recto. Each unframed.
