Condition

- Woman sitting on stoop, pointing: As is typical of ferrotyped prints, superficial surface scratches and occasional pitting are visible. In raking light, a number of small crescent-shaped handling creases are visible overall, which do not appear to break the emulsion and are not distracting. Impressions from notations on the reverse of the print are also visible in raking light. There are a few small, scattered deposits of blue ink in the upper right quadrant of the image. There is a tiny accretion to the upper right edge of the print. The corners and edges are lightly bumped, with some associated minuscule emulsion loss. The reverse of the print is lightly soiled and age-darkened around the edges. The photographer's copyright stamp reads 'Estate of Lisette Model 1983 Archive Number -,' and it is annotated 'D 4/4' in pencil. Notations in an unidentified hand in pencil, ink, or crayon read: 'Photo: Lisette Model "East Side";' '1/50 at f/4;' 'DB;' '46.6;' '4/16 // 1/20;' and the reduction notations '5 1/16' and '6 1/4.' This print does not appear to fluoresce when examined under ultra-violet light. - Woman sitting on stoop, looking into the distance: This semi-glossy print is in generally very good condition. The following are visible in raking light: a few crescent-shaped handling creases overall, and some very faint scratches in the left portion of the image that do not appear to break the emulsion. There is one small isolated area of soiling on the left edge of the image. The reverse of the print is lightly soiled and age-darkened around the edges. The photographer's copyright stamp reads 'Estate of Lisette Model 1983 Archive Number -,' and is annotated 'C 6/8' in pencil. There are also some illegible notations in pencil. This print does not appear to fluoresce when examined under ultra-violet light.
