Condition
This photograph is on smooth paper with a surface sheen. It has an overall neutral tonality and exhibits an excellent level of detail throughout. In raking light, scattered faint scuffs and several thin glossy areas are visible. There are two scratches in the lower right quadrant (one crescent-shaped and measuring approximately one-inch, and one linear and measuring 2-1/2 inches) that appear to break the emulsion; they are visible upon very close inspection. There is tiny chipping of the emulsion along the upper, left, and lower-left edges. None of the above is immediately apparent when viewing this photograph framed. This photograph is mounted to Crescent illustration board. The mount corners are rounded and the edges are rubbed, with occasional small chips. There are abrasions to the slick surface of the mount on the left and right sides, possibly from a previous overmat. When examined in ultraviolet light, this print does not appear to fluoresce.
