Condition
These photographs are in generally very good condition. They are tonally rich, with deep saturated darks - from black to dark brown - and creamy highlights. The faintest silvering is visible in the darkest areas of a few prints. These unmounted prints are curling at the edges. A few creases at the edges, minor edge chipping, deposits and soiling are visible on some prints. The signed print is annotated in pencil as follows: 'Best wishes for a happy New Year from the "Snow plate man" W. A. Bentley.' It has a large loss, confined to the creamy background, in the lower left corner. The reverse of the prints are appropriately age-darkened and lightly soiled. One image is printed on postcard paper.
