Condition
Panel is uncradled, flat, and has all edges bevelled. Painting presents a detailed image that is in overall good condition. Two thin dents of about a quarter of an inch each are at bottom right, left of the creature. A faint dot, possibly of an old repair, that is barely visible to the naked eye fluoresces under UV light at the bottom right edge. Further reading shows very few spots of retouches scattered on the right side. Other even smaller pin dots of retouching appear to be on the figure of St. Anthony, on the bottom of his robe and possibly on his forehead. The painting could be hung in its present state. Offered in a simple dark wood frame.
