Condition
The panel consists of a single board that is uncradled, but stable with all edges beveled. Underneath an uneven varnish there is a decorative image that reads well. There appears to be some thinning of the paint in certain areas, while others appear to have its original impasto intact. An area of loss is at bottom right, which appears to have been possibly rubbed. Inspection under UV shows an uneven varnish through which there is possible scattered spots of retouches here and there, such as on the hands of the sitter holding the jug. The painting is offered in an ebonized wood frame with a gold inner liner.
