- both, oil on board
- (i) 24.5 by 18.5cm., 9¾ by 7¾in., (ii) 21 by 16cm., 8¼ by 6¼in. (2)
Condition
Both boards are flat, even, and ensuring a stable support. There is some light frame rubbing with some associated paint flaking along the extreme edges. Ultra-violet reveals a very minor spot of retouching in the portrait of Pedro II and some small areas around the left arm of Teresa Cristina and in the lower left quadrant. Both painting appear to be somewhat dirty and might benefit from some light cleaning. Overall, these pictures are in good condition and ready to hang.
Presented in decorative gilt frames.
