Description
- Beechwood
with removable silk damask upholstered back and arm rests and drop-in seats, restorations
Condition
This impressive set is in overall restored condition, with marks and scratches consistent with age and us, minor chips to carving. Later upholstery with very minor staining, almost unnoticeable. The restorations are secured and the chairs are ready to be used. Backs and seats adapted to be used as drop in.
Chair 1. Restored breaks to front right leg, one arm rest joint and arm joint to back frame, and to low section of back frame. Later back seat rail.
Chair 2. Restored breaks to back leg, arm joints to back frame, both joints to frame crest.
Chair 3. Arms, seat frame and legs of later date. Period back frame and back legs but with restored split to back frame, repairs to crest joints.
Chair 4. Back legs and back frame of later date. The remaining restored, with front feet re-tipped.
