- 75cm. high, 128cm. wide, 63cm. deep; 2ft. 5½in., 4ft. 2½in.,. 2ft. ¾in.
with a tooled morocco leather top within a pierced brass gallery, the reverse side fitted with dummy drawers, on carved paw feet
Condition
This bold pedestal desk has been conserved and has an attractive tooled cream leather top, replaced, with marks and staining as expected. The dummy side displays slight fading and some movement from sun exposure. Both sides, as well as sides of the kneehole have shrinking cracks sensitively repaired and not easily noticeable. The lock on the right hand side has its key jammed and needs attention. There are marks and scratches and scuffing throughout consistent with its age and use. An attractive piece. Frieze drawer key missing.
