Description
- giltwood
one painted and parcel-gilt, with moulded oval backs and scrolling armrests, raised on tapering fluted legs, upholstered with later fawn fabric
Condition
Overall in reasonable restored condition with marks, scratches and losses to gilt consistant with age and use. One example with differing upholstery and painted, as visible from the photograph. Re-gilt although the surface would benefit from consolidation and a clean. Some of a slightly unsteady stance but all sound and sturdy. Evidence of consolidation to some joints, notably to back rests. They are ready to use but would benefit from some cosmetic attention according to taste.
Dimensions: Each 94cm. high, 58cm. wide, 53cm. deep; the seat: 44cm. high.
