Condition
The board is sound. There are one or two very minor nicks to the extreme edges of the board, which appear to be either inherent or historic. There is one small fleck of loss towards the lower right corner, with an associated very fine line of cracking, only visible upon close inspection. There is surface dirt to the work and instances of minor studio matter and detritus in places. This excepting, the work appears to be in excellent overall condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light reveals no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is held in a composite painted wooden frame and behind glass. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
