There is a tiny historic crease line with associated minor paint losses in the extreme lower left corner of the composition. This is stable. Paint Surface The paint surface has the artist's original dry, unvarnished appearance. There is a very thin vertical line of paint loss on the lower part of the right edge where the underlying board support is exposed. This is entirely stable. There are also a few entirely stable tiny paint losses in the extreme upper left corner. Inspection under ultraviolet light shows the painting to fluoresce unevenly. This would appear to be attributable to the artist's materials and techniques. No retouchings are visible under ultraviolet light.
