Condition

Unexamined out frame. There appears to be an area of the board at the lower edge which has been reattached, possibly by the Artist. There are a number of Artist's pinholes visible at all four edges. There are a number of lost impasto tips, these are particularly visible in the upper right corner. There is also some reticulation and craquelure in the paint surface visible in the brown pigment. There is some surface dirt and studio matter visible throughout. Subject to the above the work appears to be in very good overall condition. Inspection under ultra violet light reveals no obvious signs of retouching or fluorescence. The work is held behind perspex in a simple wooden frame.
