Condition
The sheet is not laid down, but is adhered to the backing board with adhesive tabs at all four corners and a few additional places to the back. The sheet undulates slightly throughout, in keeping with the Artist's materials. There are Artist's pinholes to the lower left and right corners and to the centre of the lower edge. The left, upper and right edges are deckled; the lower edge is uneven, thought to be in keeping with the Artist's working methods. There is a small horizontal tear to the upper right corner. There is a crease or possible repair to the lower left corner with some minor associated lifting, with a further crease or possible repair to the centre of the extreme left edge. There is evidence of staining from a previous adhesive to all four corners. There is some light staining to the extreme edges, in keeping with a previous mount, and possible time staining to the sheet. There is a light vertical scuff towards the lower right corner, with a further possible rub to the top of the upper left blue circular form. There are a small number of flecks of foxing to the sheet and some light surface dirt. Subject to the above the work appears in good overall condition. The work is float mounted and held behind glass in a painted wooden frame. Please telephone the department on +44 (0) 207 293 6424 if you have any questions regarding the present work.
