Condition
The canvas is original. The canvas undulates very slightly towards the upper left corner. There is minor rubbing in places at the extreme edges and to all four corners. There is a small fleck of loss to an impasto tip in the black pigment towards the upper right corner, two small flecks of loss to black impasto to the left edge towards the lower left corner and one small fleck of loss to the black impasto at the right edge towards the lower right corner. There are two very light small scuffs to the green pigment at the right of the lower edge, one further instance at the centre of the right edge and with one or two possible further more minor scuffs elsewhere. There is some surface dirt, studio matter and detritus in places. Subject to the above the work appears in very good overall condition. Inspection under ultraviolet light shows no obvious signs of fluorescence or retouching. The work is floated in a painted wooden composite frame.
