Catalogue Note
In 1979 Hodgkin was introduced to Aldo Crommelynk by Paul Cornwall-Jones of Petersburg Press. This collaboration with Crommelynk resulted in some of Hodgkin’s finest prints. The etching is based on a painting of the same name and it is one of the few works by the artist to emulate a painting so closely.
