Please note that this work is stretched but unframed. There appears to be a puncture to the canvas measuring approximately 1mm wide within the upper left-hand quadrant of the work. There are areas of minor surface loss, most noticeable towards the extremities and framing edges of the work, particularly to the bottom left and right-hand corners as well as to the bottom centre of the composition where the lighter figures feet are. There are areas of paint separation visible throughout, the most noticeable being towards the centre of the left-hand framing edge and measuring approximately 13cm. high. There appears to be a repaired horizontal tear to the canvas within the arm of the lower yellow figure, measuring approximately 2cm. There is an area of uneven red liquid to the bottom centre of the canvas, as is visible in the catalogue illustration. The work would benefit from consultation by a professional restorer as there appears to be some associated damage the canvas underneath this area. Inspection under UV light reveals no signs of restoration or further repair.
