Description

  • Haut. 107 cm, larg. 26,5 cm, prof. 16 cm ;  Height 42 in; width 10 1/2 in; depth 6 1/4 in
the dial with enamelled cartouches signed Daniel Clavier à Paris, topped by a barometer dial within a pyramid ornated with a crown and the French royal coat of arms; the dial and the movement early 18th century

Condition

Illustration is accurate. Good overall condition. Some minor cracks to the tortoiseshell. A few minor brass filets are lifting. The gilding of the mounts is slightly tarnished. Nice quality, would benefit from a slight restoration. The mechanism : Dial and movement signed Daniel Clavier, Paris and early 18th century with later conversion to Brocot escapement and suspension, later bell. In need of complete service, overhaul and repair. Barometer mechanism is incomplete. No pendulum or winder. Please note that we do not guaranty the working order of the mechanism.
