Description

Of openwork design, millegrain-set with an emerald-cut emerald weighing approximately 4.15 carats, accented with old European and single-cut diamonds, two diamonds missing; circa 1920.

Condition

In good condition, with minor scratches to the mounting commensurate with age and two small diamonds missing, only noticeable under close inspection. Mounting tests as platinum. The emerald estimated to weigh approximately 4.15 carats is a lively medium slightly bluish green color, slightly included, with minor abrasions to the facet edges visible under 10x magnification. The old European and single-cut diamonds weighing a total of approximately 1.25 carats are approximately H-I color, VS-SI clarity. Dimensions approximately 1⅝ x ⅞ inches. Accompanied by AGL report no. 1085375 stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, clarity enhancement: none.
