ATTRACTIVE EMERALD, SAPPHIRE AND DIAMOND CLIP, CARTIER, 1930S

Set with a carved emerald highlighted with polished sapphires, circular-cut and baguette diamonds, the reverse of the clip enhanced with mother-of-pearl, signed Cartier, numbered, French maker's mark and assay marks.

Accompanied by GGTL report no. 18-B-5040, stating that the emerald is of Colombian origin, with a moderate amount of oil in fissures. Signed Cartier, numbered 03592, additional number on underside of clip K324M, French maker's mark for Cartier, stamped Pt 950 for platinum. Emerald green of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions, some surface reaching, minor abrasions and nicks. Sapphires well matched in colour, minor abrasions. Mother-of-pearl overall in good condition. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 3.00 to 3.50 carats, on average H-I colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Scratches to the metal consistent with age and wear. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 38 grams.
