Catalogue Note
Cartier in the 1930’s This necklace is a beautiful example of the evolutionary style of Cartier from the 1920’s, where distinctively flat and smooth designs were created, changing into the 1930’s to be more voluminous and three dimensional jewels. Influences were taken from across the world and these inspirations often culminated in unique jewels like this one with its delicately scrolling foliate motifs.
