Description
Set with an octagonal step-cut emerald stated to weigh 10.24 carats, framed by brilliant-cut diamonds and further enhanced diamond set shoulders, size 56, signed Van Cleef & Arpels, numbered, French import assay marks for gold and platinum.
Condition
Accompanied by SSEF, report no. 102807, stating that the step-cut emerald, weighing 10.24 carats, measuring approximately 15.75 x 12.70 x 7.00mm, is of Colombian origin, with a minor amount of oil in fissures. Signed VAN CLEEF & ARPELS, numbered NY 40660, French import assay marks for platinum and 18 carat gold. Emerald green of medium strong saturation, with typical inclusions, some abrasions and small nicks. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 2.00 - 2.50 carats, on average G-H colour, VS clarity, as gauged and graded in the mount. Evidence of wear to the metal consistent with age and light use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 13 grams.
